PENTECOST COUNTDOWN: 3 DAYS TO LIFT OFF
CHRISTMAS IN MAY AND EYES THAT SPARKLE
As I have shared, I have seen a great, incoming blue and green tsunami wave for this greatest Pentecost since Acts 2. Arising from the wave a great white ship is surfaced and propelled. This white ship has LEADER written on it and represents the new leadership for all the 7 Mountains of society that will arise from this Pentecost wave of the Holy Spirit. This morning in vision I was able to see the people on this white ship and they all had sparkling deep blue eyes. The ship being white speaks of pure motivation. I will get back to the blue eyes.
SANTA CLAUS?
I have also seen several times in vision this past week what looks like a very, merry Santa Claus throwing down colorfully wrapped gifts from heaven. I didn’t share this for the controversy of the concept--but suddenly I don’t care. It seems most people with a religious spirit might have already ceased to follow me :) The vision I am seeing is not Santa Claus but is the Holy Spirit. He is dressed in red and white, and everything about Him is joyful exuberance as He pulls out of His red bag beautifully wrapped presents, and He is tossing them to us. He is shamelessly allowing the connection in thought to our concepts on Santa Claus and His eyes are also sparkling blue. He wants us in child-like receiving mode, as you must become as a little child to receive the kingdom dimension (Mt. 18:3). Everything seems very serious down here, but I tell you, the face I am seeing seems to have not one concern at all--like everything is just fun and games. Of course, if that were true I am sure one of His anointed, Biblical authors would tell us something like, “In His presence there is FULLNESS of joy.” Oh, that's right, a guy named David did say that in Psalms 16:11. “In His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand pleasures forevermore.” Joy and pleasure when you are close to Him? Wow, He must be fun.
SPARKLING EYES
I started reading Psalm 13 this morning and, as normal, David starts from a seemingly low place. Not sure about his strategy of writing his Psalms before his first cup of coffee. He seemed to need some Jehovah-Java at minimum. Here are the first two verses.
“O Lord, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way? How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy have the upper hand?”
Can you identify? The same guy who three chapters later will tell us of all the "joy in His presence" is clearly not there at this point. Again, David can seem like a bit of a “drama-queen” but he doesn’t care. We know by reading the Psalms that he never stays down too long, but here is saying things like FOREVER as it relates to being forgotten, and that he is in anguish and sorrow EVERY DAY. Wow, intense. However, I really can identify with “How long will the enemy have the upper hand?” That drives me a lot. I see what God is doing and I am thankful for all His blessings, but in so many ways it can seem the enemy is still having an upper hand--and I am ready for the divine trump/Trump cards to be played in quick succession. Verse 3 is where I want to take us.
“Turn and answer me, O Lord My God! restore the SPARKLE to my EYES, or I will die.” Ps. 13:3
Again, David SEEMS dramatic, but he is just raw and honest. He wants a touch from God that goes beyond natural needs being met. He is demanding a Spirit to spirit touch that will put the SPARKLE back in his eyes. As I write this I can feel the strong identification many of you have with this cry to God. I have it as well. I do have a little sparkle in my eyes--but I want a great sparkle in my eyes. This is a primary focus for this Pentecost. He is going to give those hungry and ‘waiting in the Upper Room’ the eyes that sparkle.
I looked up the Hebrew word OWR used here as “sparkle” and it means, “to cause to be luminous, shine, fire, glorious, kindle, break of day.” So much good there. David knows if he gets the “break of day” back in his eyes he will wake up in victory instead of the season he had just been through. The Holy Spirit is going to give us eyes that shine, that show and release fire, that carry glory, and that kindle new fires of their own through the hope they see with. Anybody ready for this?
POWER GIFTS TO SEE AND SAY
I believe that the gifts I saw the Holy Spirit pouring out are the 9 gifts of the Spirit laid out in 1 Corinthians 12:8-11. Even if you already had a gift or more, I believe you are getting the 2020 upgrade version. It has a better camera and has increased storage capacity ;)
“For to one is given by the Spirit the WORD OF WISDOM; to another the WORD OF KNOWLEDGE by the same Spirit; To another FAITH by the same Spirit; to another GIFTS OF HEALING by the same Spirit; To another the WORKING OF MIRACLES; to another PROPHECY; to another DISCERNING OF SPIRITS; to another DIVERS KINDS OF TONGUES; to another INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES. But one and the same (Holy) Spirit works all these things, DISTRIBUTING TO EACH one individually as He wills.”
BLUE: REVELATION
The blue that is both in the wave and in the eyes that I have seen represent REVELATION. Revelation is when He supernaturally reveals something to you. In the original Acts 2 account we remember the Holy Spirit came to cause “sons and daughters to prophesy, young men to see visions, old men to dream dreams, and maidservants and menservants to prophesy.” It is all about the Holy Spirit empowering us to SEE supernaturally and SAY supernaturally.
The 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit listed above ALL work with seeing and saying. The 2020 upgrade is for us to learn to also use these OUTSIDE the four walls of the church. These are the gifts for receiving the kingdom of God on the 7 Mountains of society. Supernatural seeing and saying is not just to impact and transform individuals--it is to impact and transform systems. Deformed systems need to be reformed with Holy Spirit, sparkling eyes. We are to enjoy it. The more you learn to operate from joy the more effective your gift will be. The Giver is giving them to us in a very joyful mode and mood. We kill half the power of it all by “the gifts” now becoming too serious of a matter. The rest of 2020 is to be joy unspeakable and full of glory (1 Peter 1:8). GIFTS are to be enjoyed both in receiving and using. That is why it usually has to happen outside of the 4 walls of the church--as “rules of reverence” often apply here and the Holy Spirit is often just a little too fun for the “reverence" of His followers. So many churches He would like to go to if the rules permitted. I am believing He will break some rules in the coming days and come in anyway.
With that, I will finish today's countdown. It is like a rocket ship countdown...10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4... and today 3. I am full of expectancy. The sparkle in my eye has already been positively affected. Come Holy Spirit.
