Follow-Up to Prophetic Response to Dreams

Why Didn’t I First Confront Pastor in Private? What is the Prophetic Protocol I am Referring to?

July 1, I wrote a prophetic response to a Pastor from Kentucky’s dreams that had released an immense amount of fear and hopelessness into the Body of Christ. The fear was such that it was almost like a plague and needed to be addressed straightforwardly and strongly. Though most of the responses to my post have been overwhelmingly positive— and some dramatically so, as they spoke of weeping and having hope restored— yet there were a couple matters that are worth addressing.

Why Didn’t I First Confront Pastor in Private?

I appreciate those of you who understand proper Biblical protocol for dealing with those who have offended you (Mt. 18:15) and I so wish more of us cared to be right in this area. Having said that let me quickly say how this is not such a case. The Pastor never sinned against me nor do I have ought against him personally. In fact I look forward to an opportunity to connect with him at some point, and I am sure we can have a wonderful exchange.

It is why I am not even mentioning his name in this follow-up post because what I have been confronting from the beginning are the dreams. Whether Pastor and myself sit together and have great brotherly fellowship or not— the dreams are the proverbial “cows who have left the barn” and have a life of their own that has to be addressed. His are by no means the only dreams of doom that have circulated at this time, as I have received many— but because of the viral nature of what happened with his dreams they demanded a response. Silence was in effect validating the dreams. I had many, many asking of me for a response. Once the dreams went public the response had to go public.

What is the Prophetic Protocol I Referred to? 5 Guardrails

In my response of July 1, I mentioned that Pastor had violated “prophetic protocol” for wielding a prophetic word and some have asked me to explain that, which I am very happy to do. It is important both for this situation and for all such cases moving forward. These become guidelines both for releasing prophetic words as well as judging prophetic words. Here are 5 guardrails:

1) The Amos 3:7 Guardrail

“Surely the Lord God does nothing unless He reveals it to His servants the prophets.”

Notice the plurality of “His servants the prophets.” Every major prophetic word fits into a symphony of prophetic words. As in an orchestra every instrument will have a difference and uniqueness to it but yet it will only enhance the overall sound. If it doesn’t it is a problem. For some it may not be that they have the wrong instrument— but just that they forgot to tune their personal instrument before playing it.

Pastor had two fundamental protocol violations to his dreams. First, by his own admission he is not a prophet (or even prophetic). Secondly, the message he extracted from his dreams was completely out of tune with an abundance of “His servants the prophets.” When you share that you have seen our nation invaded by foreign troops, Washington DC in some level of destruction, and President Trump just nowhere to be found— it is at minimum an out of synch revelation. I will address later whether if perhaps his greatest violation was just a wrong interpretation and application— as that can often blow an otherwise legitimate revelation.

“His servants the prophets” have for the last several years been in symphony for a general message for the United States. These prophetic messages foresaw President Trump being greatly used by God in a transitional time for our nation and the world. Many (including myself) saw an Isaiah 45 “Cyrus anointing” on President Trump and it surely is playing out. The # 45 coinciding with him being the 45th President of the USA has also been powerful. “His servants the prophets” have been seeing a “Great Awakening”, stadiums being filled, God impacting/owning DC as never before, and an overall, unprecedented breaking in of the kingdom of God. Almost all, including myself, have seen challenges during the process (I called it a “rude awakening” to precede “the great awakening”) but the prophetic messages have had symphonic appeal.

We can begin with the now-in-heaven Kim Clement who, years before President Trump was even a candidate, said, “Trump shall be my Trump,” and that he would serve two terms, among several of his prophetic words speaking into this time. Last year, Chuck Pierce saw a virus/plague that matches up with the COVID19— but it was all in the context of a hope-filled word. Add veteran prophetic voices such as Bill Hamon, Cindy Jacobs, Dutch Sheets, James Goll, Jane Hamon, Tim Sheets, Shawn Bolz, and Kat Kerr to some of the newer prophetic voices of Lana Vawser, Charlie Shamp, Nate and Christy Johnson— and really a whole litany of on-target Australian prophetic voices— carrying the hope-filled message of God for our season. Several key African/American prophetic voices have also joined in with this prophetic symphony. There are many other voices worthy to be added to this symphony of “His servant the prophets” as these are just ones that come quickly to my mind. Among them I will note Kat Kerr as having been particularly most detailed and most correct on the national scene in the last few years. Some of the above are more gifted in personal words of knowledge than seeing the macro but it all works together.

So for clarity, if Pastor’s dreams are right in the way he presented them, then all the above prophetic voices are out of synch. If, on the other hand, their symphony of prophetic voices are correct then at minimum the dream’s interpretations and application were faulty. Amos 3:7 is a guardrail. A prophetic voice doesn’t have to echo a main, central word but even it is a stand-alone “tuba” it will work with the symphonic narrative.

2) The 1 Corinthians 14:3 Guardrail

“But EVERYONE who prophesies speaks to men for their STRENGTHENING, ENCOURAGEMENT and COMFORT.”

In another version it is "edification, exhortation and comfort”. For those of you who constantly complain of wanting only to give/get “good words” and “everything is going to be okay words,” there is a reason for it— IT IS THE NEW TESTAMENT STANDARD FOR EVERYONE WHO PROPHESIES! If a prophetic word, whether in dream, vision, or whatever makes you feel like you got a punch in the gut that leaves you fearful and hopeless, IT IS NOT GOD! If you say, “well where then does correction come in?” Well, I am doing that right now, and frequently do— but I don’t leave you hopeless. EVERY word must either STRENGTHEN, ENCOURAGE or COMFORT. This is a guardrail not to be ignored.

3) The Don’t Publicly Share “Second Heaven” Revelation Minus “Third Heaven” Revelation Guardrail

“Second Heaven” revelation is that which reveals the enemies INTENTIONS. It is rarely a sure thing and NEVER so if the “third heaven” perspective is brought into focus. In 2 Kings 6, Elisha’s assistant saw the “second heavens” equivalent of the Syrian army surrounding them and was greatly panicked. In verse 17, Elisha asks the Lord “O Lord, please open his eyes that he may see” and when he did he suddenly saw the “third heaven” surrounding mountains full of heavenly chariots and horses and no longer had fear. Biblically, you are not even considered as one who sees— unless you can also see the “third heaven.” A distortion of reality will ALWAYS come out. Satan is ALWAYS plotting and planning death, as that is what he does. He never takes a siesta from killing, stealing, and destroying and especially from planning to do so strategically. In that light, you know there is ALWAYS going to be a plot and plan against government, and especially Washington DC based. If you needed special dreams to know Satan wants to devastate us through devastating President Trump and DC, then you are just not very aware and discerning. (See I just gave another correction— but you should still feel hopeful). ANY revelation that doesn’t show God on the scene is WORTHLESS and in fact faulty and dangerous. It will always lend to fear and hopelessness because it is. No God = No hope. See God= See hope. Don’t miss this important guardrail.

4) The Don’t Scare His Bride Guardrail

Years ago the Lord made it very clear to me that one of the greatest offenses in His sight was to be an instrument of scaring His Bride— the church. It was so clear and so strong to me. Bride morale/troop morale is perhaps the greatest charge to a leader of influence in the Body of Christ. It does not come by patronizing the Bride, but it most certainly does not come by being the advertising agency for Satan. Why I came out swinging hard on July 1 is "troop morale" had been decimated and my specific assignment is connected to that. It is a great offense. All good military commanders know “troop morale” is a huge matter. Doing "free commercials" on the enemy’s gains is as foolish as it sounds. What you advertise you make room for. Remember His identity is the God of Hope.

5) The Difference in OT and NT Prophetic Guardrail

Let me make this simple. There IS a different standard. In the Old Testament no one received Jesus into their heart and had communion with Him. No one received the Holy Spirit as Truth and Counselor. They were not available in that capacity. We can’t even imagine what that was like as it is almost beyond comprehension. The only way God-messages came through was through prophets who would receive this revelation, primarily in an audible fashion. There could be no errors in communication and that is why a prophet was held to such a higher standard. There was no way to “independently verify” if what he said was true and needed to be heeded. No one was allowed to "go pray about it and see what the Holy Spirit confirmed" to them. It was “obey the prophet” or suffer the severe consequence.

1 Corinthians 13 and 14 cover much of the model for the New Testament prophetic. Paul said “we see in part and we prophesy in part.” “In part” meaning imperfectly. New Testament prophecy allows for errors. He spoke of seeing through a glass dimly. Old Testament prophets did not see that way, nor could they as their life could be demanded of them for a false prophecy. In 1 Corinthians 14:29 Paul spoke of the prophets prophesying, “and the rest judge.” That was a new standard not formerly existent in the Old Testament. The new standard has to do with the fact that life in the Holy Spirit allows us all to carry internal witness to truth. We all have Jesus and we all have the Holy Spirit as Teacher. The prophets formerly served that high role but now serve the role in a second tier level. They are still very important but it is not at the “fail and die” level of the Old Testament. God would not encourage us to “judge" or discern a prophetic word if prophets were expected to never miss it. Today, I know of NO prophet that risks it at all that is NEVER wrong and especially so in the timing of things. You gain and maintain credibility by being right enough of the time and by the hope your word infuses in people. Overall, yes we are way less than what we will be as a prophetic group, but He never intends to have a prophetic company so sharp that nobody needs to check in with the Holy Spirit. That reality needs to be understood today. This guardrail is very important.

Interpretation and Application

Revelation can be received by anyone. Even Pharaoh and Nebuchadnezzar received revelation. Interpretation and application is the hard part and what requires “third heaven” insight. Joseph could have easily told Pharaoh of his not-so-positive sounding dreams “Hey buddy, brace yourself. Famine is coming and it is going to be bad. 7 years of it is on the way. You have TWO dreams to let you know it is a sure thing. Buckle up and take it like a man.” Instead with the heavenly insight he turned a devastating sounding dream into a hopeful outcome of abundance if they immediately set about to make room for the God-plan for the occasion. God ALWAYS has a God-plan. The end outcome was “and all nations came to Joseph.” A blessing and hopeful outcome from God for an idolatrous, sun-worshipping Egyptian leader and nation that never did come into covenant with God— because a prophet sees correctly.

Could the dreams that Pastor saw be “real revelation” warning us to pray against that outcome? Only perhaps. It is still not actionable intelligence without the God-view. Honestly, there is a part of me that would like to see DC have enough problems that the capital would have to be moved to say Philadelphia. It would not devastate me for certain monuments and symbolisms to be destroyed, as DC was totally set up under freemasonry and illuminati witchcraft. However, I have no word from God on that and so must be against mayhem, death, and violence that might come to DC— even as it has in recent days and weeks. DC can be cleansed even from its’ freemason symbols in peaceful ways.

I do completely disagree with the dreams view on the destruction of money and it is ONLY insight into what Satan would like to do. God has promised the opposite. The Cyrus anointing is for the opposite. So yes at no time does it hurt to pray against all the evils spoken of in the dreams— but do so not out of fear or panic. The prayer of FAITH is what avails and you must be in a hopeful place to connect to that. In closing, God will be greater than our challenges. The church is awake more than she has been in decades. A rescue plan from heaven is in process. The best is yet to come and God wins later— but He wins NOW as well. His servants the prophets have seen this and He will surely perform it.
