Happy New Year Church!!! This is going to be the best year for you and the kingdom of God ever. We enter 2017-- the year we celebrate the 500th anniversary of the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. It is also the 50th year since Jerusalem- in a shock to the world and to powers and principalities- again came under Israel command after a couple of millennia. We have a President voted in by GOD who will be 70 years, 7 months, and 7 days the day he is sworn in. Also because of the Electoral College "rebellion", he ended up with 77 more electoral votes than his opponent. Everything is coming up 7's in 2017. More good news coming. For today rejoice- this is the year of the favor of our God.
Just feeling the excitement of heaven over the new beginnings we are entering and the warmth and affection of our Papa's heart towards us all. This is the year you pinch yourself and say "is this really happening to me?" - because it is so good and so destiny laden. For some of you, this after some unpleasant "is this really happening to me?" situations from the last couple of months. As we enter this unbelievably fruitful season with endless possibilities there is one plea from the heart of your doting Papa. Please forgive everyone and please become unoffendable. It is literally almost the only thing that can ruin your year- and your destiny. Let everyone off the hook and it releases everything He wants to give you.
A new chapter in human history begins tomorrow, Inauguration Day. It has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with the intervention of God answering all of our collective prayers for the last many years. Even those who voted against Trump -and perhaps still against him -will find their heart-felt prayers being answered. God is giving us the ultimate bailout package and it is going to be beyond what most of us imagined. We have not earned it in the least, as our behavior has been very subpar, with so much meanness, judgmentalism, and divisiveness -but His mercy and grace will be greater. The kindness of God is about to lead us to repentance. We are going to start loving each other as never before. We are going to start uniting and coming together. We are going to find our child-like tender hearts again. We are going to be the UNITED States once again. It won't all happen in one day- but it will happen.
I want to acknowledge to many of you my black brothers and sisters, and to those Christians that supported, voted and then prayed regularly for President Obama, that it can be tough to watch those that bashed the former President for 8 years- NOW be passionate about us praying diligently for President Trump. Please forgive that which looks like hypocrisy to you and please do as an example what was so tough for many who disagreed with Pres. Obamas policies to do- pray instead of bash. President Obama and his family were such a great role model in many ways and perhaps even some of his deficient policies might have been better with enough prayer cover. We all have to do better moving forward. On behalf of those who may have offended you- please let me say I am sorry. We are all still a work in progress.
Relax everyone. Everything is going just as planned for the Trump Presidency. When a wrecking ball/bulldozer comes in, it is because great boulders and structures have to be removed. It is not precision work. It does not work for a surgeon. There IS some collateral damage. Things will continue being temporarily messy- especially with the media being inciteful rather than insightful. America has to temporarily be less hospitable, so that longterm it can be more hospitable. New security and vetting processes will ultimately allow this nation to better host the masses. Immigrants want to come to America because its' safety, its' security, and its' economy are better than where they are from. The present upgrades will ensure that. TrumpQuakes will continue all year and not everything will be short term defensible. Long term, almost without exception it will be. This is not a political perspective but rather one from a kingdom view. As Danny Silk has famously coined (well I think he did) KYLO, Keep Your Love On. Also, take deep breaths and smile more often. Everything is going to be all right. It is Kingdom Time.
